The Karp RDWPD Access Door comes with a factory-applied 1/2″ drywall insert, making it the perfect solution when concealing the access door required for aesthetic purposes. The Karp RDWPD drywall access door comes standard with a drywall bead flange.

The Karp RDWPD Access Door comes in sizes 12″ x 12″, 18″ x 18″, 24″ x 12″, 24″  x 24″, and 36 ” x 24″. It is a surface-mounted access door with a drywall bead.

RDWPD Access Door Specifications

• Door Frame: The frame is 14 gauge steel, and the doors are 16 gauge steel.
• Door: Recessed 1/2″ with factory-installed 1/2″ drywall.
• Trim: Galvanized steel drywall bead.
• Hinge: Concealed pivoting rod type.
• Locks: Flush and screwdriver operated with stainless steel cam and studs or a key-operated cylinder lock with automatic dust shutter.
• Finish: Prime coat of rust-inhibitive electrostatic powder.

RDWPD Access Door Options

• A cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door.  The night latch also has a small thumb latch that allows the spring latch to remain in a retracted position, which provides access at any time.
• This economical cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door.
• Type 304 stainless steel is well-suited for exterior weather locations or interior hygienic locations such as hospitals, health care, pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories, and food processing facilities.  Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, durable, and requires very little maintenance.  Karp’s stainless steel access doors have a No. 4 satin finish, a general-purpose bright finish with a visible ‘grain” that prevents mirror reflection.
• Removable doors allow for unobstructed access to wall or ceiling contents.
• To facilitate access and reduce door load, Karp can manufacture any size access door in a double-leaf style.
• A 1/16″ x 3/8″ neoprene gasket can be added to the door, providing a tighter seal between the door and the door frame and protecting it from exposure to outside elements.
